The priesthood of all believers is asleep

We merely "go to" church when we are willing accomplices to insipid life. Only when we decide to not be so easily pleased do we instead "become" the church -- and become active citizens of the Kingdom that is now.

Of course we can (and should) both "go to" and "be" the church, but in America today (not sure about elsewhere), many merely go, and thereby miss out on the richness of Christ. They fill the gaps with vicarious experiences through their TV sets, their internet connections, sports, movies, and worst of al -- by simply convincing themselves that a life of weekly religious services is all there is to hope for from God.
