My wife and I hosted two Christian Vietnamese-Americans for dinner on election night. They are well connected with the underground church in Vietnam and said that the communist government's purge of Christians was on hold for the elections. If Kerry won, it would continue. If Bush won, it would stop. The reason? The Bush administration supports a policy of trade dependent on human rights. Understandably, they voted for Bush.
