Good day today! Got up at 5am, flew to Denver, flew to Phoenix, met with customers, met some new Hilti people, and tonight, I'm having dinner with Mr. Mike, an ex-Marine, from Thunderbird.
His cousin, who lives in LA, had a baby born premature right before Christmas, so the whole family (including some older kids) spent Christmas in the hospital. Mike, who barely knew that part of the family and had only met the cousin once years ago, left his home 1000 miles away in Vail, and drove to LA... surprising the family at the hospital by showing up in a Santa Suit on Christmas with $100 worth of $1 gifts from the dollar store. To say the least, I was inspired. It's a good day.
