Hans is 3 weeks old as of yesterday ... and doing great! Every day is a treat -- watching him listen to birds, discover the tree outside our window, having him fall asleep on my chest. Everyone always says that having a kid "changes your life". I've heard that line a thousand times, and now I see that having a child is in some ways like getting married. You are with this person until death do you part, to love and to cherish. Yes, life changes ... it is like turning to a new season -- new opportunities for richness of living and new ways to see, experience, and depend upon God. Yes, some old ways of living are no longer possible, but many new ways are now open to us and to Hans especially!
