Friends,
After watching the news coverage of the devastation along the Gulf Coast we wanted to do something to help. Tomorrow night (9/4), we'll hold a prayer time at our home starting at 7pm. Bring photos of people you know who've been affected, newspaper clippings, info on ways you know of to help refugees, etc. We'll have a donation jar out and we'll send everything to Desire Street (http://www.desirestreet.org/) - a group we learned about a few years ago that is doing a lot of work to help improve lives for families in New Orleans' neighborhoods.
Let us know if you plan on being there -- and feel free to pass the word to others.
