I'm greatly enjoying reading the book where I found this quote, "Crunchy Cons". It's a great description of the counter-cultural conservative leanings that are missing from modern conservatism. Those conservatives among us who enjoy the beauty of nature, the wisdom of the ancients, the warmheartedness of family, the fruit of the field, and the community of close friends and neighbors -- all bound together under a belief in God -- will love this book.
